I am a Physics doctorate candidate, currently enrolled in a university in USA. I started teaching online in Britain about 2-3 years ago. Now i provide my services in several countries.
With my rich background in Science and teaching, i can teach science at virtually any level, including the university level. My rates (for EVERYONE in the United Kingdom) are as follows:
Lower levels: Less than £10/hr (all science subjects)
IGCSE/GCSE/Other equivalent programs: £10-15/hr (Physics/Chemistry/Math/Add Math)
AS level/A level/Other equivalent programs: £15/hr (Physics/Math/Further Math)
University level: £15-20/hr (Physics and Math)
I also teach physics and math related to various tests like SAT, GRE, GMAT, etc. The rates can be flexible in these cases.
This is by far the lowest rates you are going to get from a PhD candidate.
I usually offer a discount for a small group, on top of the mentioned low rates. So make sure you have your friends on speed dial. I also give a discount for a 2hr/day commitment or a long term commitment. In short, more work equals more discount. Unlike most other online tutors, i DO NOT charge extra money for any supplemental stuff that i provide during the lessons. What's more, i occasionally throw in a short free lesson here and there!
I am available to teach on weekends as well. First come, first served.
My first lecture is a FREE trial lecture and lasts about 30min. If, after that, the student decides to continue (which almost always happens) they must deposit the fee for the next four weeks(one month) in advance. The period for which the student pays in advance is negotiable.
All you need to have is an internet connection and a working pair of mic and speakers.
I have always believed in online tuitions because with fast internet speeds and services like skype and awwapp.com (another free service), it allows for cheaper rates, immense convenience and more flexible timing than before. Online tuition is really the future of tuitions.
No matter where you are in the UK, feel free to email me if you wish to know more. I'll get back to you as soon as possible.
Let us, the professionals, take care of the future of your child, who is probably worried about starting a new course/grade or is not satisfied with the present pedagogical arrangement. Cheers
